Serving the community

I have always been passionate about serving the community to the best I can. From a young age, I have been associated with Jain Center of Northern California – a prestigious center where over 20,000+ devotees get together to perform religious and volunteer activities.

I was fortunate to get a chance to participate in the coat drive – where me and my friends collected coats, toiletry, pillow, bed sheet and other necessary items by going door to door for homeless and donated collected items to “lifemoves.org”. I have really enjoyed the initiative, as it helped me learn the value of team work and joy it gives you by bringing a smile to someone’s face.

Coat drive also gave me the courage to initiate more volunteer activities, hence me and my friends initiated a program to ” empower seniors with technology”. Me and my friends go to temple every Sunday and teach seniors how to operate gadgets, create social media accounts, operate email and email mgmt., tax and healthcare account set up etc.. It was a truly unique experience where we were so surprised by seniors dedicate, determination and willingness to learn from us kids…

I was also part of Kitchen services, where we cook fresh meals for kids to adults who come for Jain Center, sweep, mop and provide all services which center needs. One of the key need temple had was digitization of historical documents which are form of hard paper, cassets and photo copies. I along with a team of 5 like minded people have joined hands and we had worked relentlessly to digitize the rich historical, 500+ years documents. Proud of being part of the community, serving it and receive a presitigous Presidential award for my volunteer services from President Donald Trump.

Magic/Card tricks Fun

As a kid, I was always passionate about the wonderful art of Magic, especially the card tricks. I used to spend hours learning that, however I must admit I was always shy about performing on the stage. However, when I joined the ring central for Magic, It kind of gave me the confidence. I am very happy to raise the significant money through showing my card tricks to several events.
